Pokémon 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection (UPC): Day & Night Australia Release Guide (13 November 2026)

Friday 13 November 2026 · Australia

Last updated 21 October 2026

The Pokemon TCG 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection (UPC) releases across Australia on Friday 13 November 2026, a week after the global 6 November date. The UPC comes in two versions, Day with Espeon ex and Night with Umbreon ex, each with 30 booster packs. Several retailers have already sold it online, including Target, where members ordered both versions on 20 October, and in-store stock is expected at major retailers on the day. This guide covers what is in each version, where it has been sold so far and what to expect on release day. For the full product lineup and later release waves, see the Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration release page.

The Ultra-Premium Collection: Day and Night

One product in two versions with the same contents apart from the featured Pokemon. Most retailers sell Day and Night as separate listings, but JB Hi-Fi and some specialist stores sell an assorted or randomly picked version, so check which one you are buying.

  • Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection, Day version with Espeon

    Ultra-Premium Collection: Day (Espeon ex)

    Confirmed

29 30th Celebration booster packs and a Classic Collection booster pack with three etched cards, foil Pikachu ex and Espeon ex promo cards, a playmat, 65 card sleeves and a deck box. Retailer product descriptions also list a metal Espeon coin, six damage-counter dice and a Pokemon TCG Live code card.

  • Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection, Night version with Umbreon

    Ultra-Premium Collection: Night (Umbreon ex)

    Confirmed

The same contents with Umbreon in place of Espeon: 29 30th Celebration booster packs and a Classic Collection booster pack, foil Pikachu ex and Umbreon ex promo cards, a playmat, 65 card sleeves and a deck box, plus, per retailer descriptions, a metal Umbreon coin, six damage-counter dice and a Pokemon TCG Live code card.

Release times

Several retailers have already sold the UPC online. EB Games listed it at $599 when preorders opened in July, then cut both versions to $439 after widespread criticism and offered further preorders in August at that price. Kmart listed both at $360 on 23 September and again on 8 October. On 20 October Target sold both versions online at $360 and members reported successful orders, while BIG W listed a $360 preorder for the Day version only, with another apparent availability window on 22 October and no successful manual checkouts confirmed from either. Further online stock is possible at any of them, but none has been announced.

Release day is expected to be mainly an in-store opportunity. Based on how they handled earlier 30th Celebration releases, Target, Kmart and BIG W are expected to have the collection in store, but Ultra-Premium Collection stock and store allocations have not been confirmed. Separately, a member was told by Toymate that it expects limited in-store stock; that is a member's report, not a Toymate announcement. No retailer has confirmed purchase limits. Kmart and BIG W stores generally open from 8am and Target at 8am or 9am depending on location, so arriving before opening is sensible; check with your local store first.

No retailer has announced a release-day online time or special opening hours for 13 November. Some older retailer listings still show 6 November, the global date, and BIG W's listing shows 5 November, which appears to be an outdated listing date; the Australian release is 13 November, as JB Hi-Fi's and Kmart's product records show and EB Games has told customers.

Also releasing around 13 November

The week before, on 6 November, the 30th Celebration 5 Booster Tin and Mega Evolution: Delta Reign release, and the Figure Collection (Mew and Mewtwo) and the Ditto Premium Collection follow on 20 November. Each has its own release date, so stock of one says nothing about the others.

Where to buy on release day

Online vs in-store availability by retailer. Availability, limits and product mix can differ by store and location.

Preorders:Day and Night sold online 20 Oct ($360); members reported ordersRelease-day online:UnconfirmedIn store:ExpectedOpens: 8am or 9am (usual store hours, varies by store)

Target listed both versions online on 20 October at $360. Members reported website errors and availability problems at first, then successful orders for both Day and Night. Both are now listed as Pre-Order and out of stock. Target is expected to have the collection in store on 13 November, though no store allocation is confirmed, and further online stock has not been announced.

Kmart listed both versions at $360 on 23 September and again on 8 October, and its listings show the 13 November release date. The first release appears to have been heavily botted, with no confirmed successful manual purchases; a successful purchase was reported during the second. Kmart has stocked earlier 30th Celebration releases in store, so it is worth checking, though store stock is unconfirmed. A 24-hour Kmart does not necessarily mean a midnight release.

BIG W listed the Day UPC for preorder at $360 on 20 October, amid reported website, login and checkout problems, with another apparent availability window on 22 October. No successful manual checkouts have been confirmed from either event. The Night version is in BIG W's catalogue but has not been seen going live. BIG W's listing shows 5 November, which appears to be an outdated listing date rather than an earlier release; the Australian release is 13 November. Further stock is possible but unconfirmed, and no store allocation or purchase limit has been reported. BIG W has stocked earlier 30th Celebration releases in store.

Preorders:Listed Jul ($599, cut to $439); preorders Aug ($439 each, EB Plus)Release-day online:UnconfirmedIn store:UnconfirmedRelease time: No arrangements announced

EB Games listed the UPC at $599 when preorders opened on 3 July, then cut both versions to $439 on 10 July after widespread criticism; EB said the higher price had been a planned measure against scalpers. It offered further preorders at $439 in its August rounds, open to EB Plus members with a limit of one product per member, and members secured both. EB has since told customers the release has moved to 13 November; its older listings still showed 6 November. Walk-in stock on the day has not been announced.

JB Hi-Fi logoCardWatch
Preorders:Assorted listing $360; product record shows 13 NovRelease-day online:UnconfirmedIn store:Not expectedRelease time: No online release announced

JB Hi-Fi has a single assorted listing at $360, so you cannot choose Day or Night, and its product record shows 13 November. The collection was part of JB's 30th Celebration range in July and was loaded again for a potential online restock in September that has not been released; neither is proof that customers could check out. Further online stock is unconfirmed. JB Hi-Fi primarily sells Pokémon TCG online, so any release is more likely to appear online than in store.

Other retailers to watch

Myer, Games World and Kidstuff have carried other 30th Celebration products, but none has listed the Ultra-Premium Collection, so whether they will stock it is unknown. Woolworths has catalogue records for both versions, which is not confirmed stock. Independent Pokemon and TCG stores may have preorders, waitlists or release-day stock; ask your local store.

Specialist stores

Australian specialist stores have listed the collection from $390: Collectible Madness at $390, Trainer Town at $399.95, and Pokébox and Cherry Collectables at $449.99, each selling Day and Night separately. Gameology lists a randomly picked version at $459.95 and Card Plus TCG a Day or Night preorder at $550. None was taking orders as of 19 October, so ask about waitlists and release-day stock, and check whether you can choose the version.

Going in-store? Read this first

High-demand launches are handled differently by each store and shopping centre, so confirm the details for your specific store on the day. See the full in-store release day guide.

Shopping-centre access

If the store is inside a shopping centre, check the centre's own opening and access information as well as the store's advertised time. Some public entrances open earlier because they service early-opening tenants (supermarkets, gyms), and different entrances can leave you much closer to Kmart, BIG W and the like. Do not use staff-only or restricted entrances, and do not assume a queue at one exterior entrance is the only queue. When you arrive, confirm where the actual store queue is forming.

Find where the line is forming

Most stores will use the normal entrance and a simple first-come queue. Some stores may hand out numbered tickets or stickers, or introduce another queue system on the day. If staff or security are managing the queue, follow their directions.

Arrive early and expect queues

Arrive early and expect queues to form outside the shopping centre before opening. Once the centre opens, customers will generally make their way to the retailer and form a second queue outside the store. Queue management varies by location. Some stores may hand out numbers or tickets, use stickers, or introduce purchase limits, while others may simply serve customers in queue order.

24-hour Kmart

A 24-hour Kmart does not necessarily mean a midnight Pokémon release. On previous launches, collector reports have varied: some stores released around midnight, others held launch stock until the morning. Check with the specific store rather than assuming stock will be released at 12:00am.

CardWatch state channels

Check your CardWatch Discord state channel before travelling and while moving between stores. Members share live local intelligence: queue sizes, where the queue is forming, whether numbers are being handed out, reported limits, whether stock has reached the floor or customer service, and whether a store looks sold out. These are live community reports and can change or be incorrect. Open the CardWatch Discord.

Have a backup store

Pick a second destination before launch morning. Areas with several relevant retailers (Kmart, BIG W, Toymate, Toyworld, Games World and local card stores) give you another option if your first store has a big queue, gets no stock or sells out. None of these are guaranteed to have release-day stock.

Before you leave home

  • Check the retailer's opening time
  • Check the shopping centre's opening time and public entrances
  • Check the latest retailer and local-store social posts
  • Check your CardWatch state channel
  • Know your backup store
  • Don't assume another store's limits or queue system applies to yours

Release-day game plan

  • Choose Day or Night: Day features Espeon ex and Night Umbreon ex; the contents are otherwise the same. JB Hi-Fi and some specialist stores sell an assorted or random version, so check the listing if you want a particular one.
  • Going in-store: Target, Kmart and BIG W are expected to have the collection in store, and Toymate is expected to have limited stock, but no retailer has confirmed store allocations. Arrive before opening and check with your local store first.
  • CardWatch state channels: Before you leave, check your state's channel in the free CardWatch Discord for queue sizes, store openings, purchase limits, sightings and sold-out reports from shoppers near you, and post what you see so others can act on it. These are live member reports, not retailer announcements, and they can change within minutes.
  • Online: No release-day online times have been announced. Keep CardWatch alerts enabled for any further online stock, particularly at Target and BIG W, and check the retailer's purchase limit when stock goes live; no retailer is guaranteed to restock.
  • Same-week releases: The 5 Booster Tin and Delta Reign release the week before, and the Figure and Ditto collections the week after; each has its own date and stock.
